KNOW WHAT YOU'RE EATING.
Food allergies and dietary needs matter. This page explains how to ask Syake about ingredients, allergens, raw seafood and possible cross-contact before you order.
Three things to know.
Menu recipes, sauces and supplier ingredients can change, so specific questions should always be checked at the time of ordering.
Tell us clearly
Tell Syake exactly which ingredient or allergen you need to avoid before the order is prepared.
Ask about the exact item
Do not rely only on the product name. Sauces, toppings, coatings and garnishes can also contain allergens.
Cross-contact can matter
Sushi kitchens prepare many ingredients in shared working areas, so ask Syake if cross-contact is a concern for you.
Ingredients you may want to ask about.
These are common allergen categories found in sushi-style dishes generally. This is not an item-by-item allergen declaration for Syake's menu.
Fish
Common in sushi, sashimi, nigiri and some sauces or toppings.
Shellfish
Shrimp, crab-style products and other seafood may appear in some dishes.
Wheat / Gluten
Can be present in soy sauce, tempura, breadcrumbs, coatings and some sauces.
Soy
Often associated with soy sauce, marinades and some prepared sauces.
Sesame
May be used as seeds, seasoning, oil or as part of sauces and toppings.
Egg
Can appear in mayonnaise-style sauces, coatings and selected preparations.
Milk / Dairy
May be present in cream cheese or creamy sauces used in some sushi-style dishes.
If your allergy involves another ingredient not shown here, please ask anyway. The list above is only a guide to common questions.
Raw and cooked options.
Some sushi and sashimi-style menu items can contain raw seafood, while others are cooked, fried or vegetarian-style. If you want to avoid raw seafood, ask Syake which current menu items are suitable before ordering.
Preference or allergy?
“I prefer not to eat it.”
Examples can include avoiding raw fish, choosing vegetarian-style items or asking for no spicy sauce.
“I need to avoid it.”
Tell Syake clearly that it is an allergy or intolerance so the team understands that ingredient checks and cross-contact may matter.
Make it clear in three steps.
Message Syake first
Tell us the exact allergy, intolerance or ingredient you need to avoid.
Confirm the item
Ask about the specific menu item, including sauce, coating, garnish and possible substitutions.
Then place the order
Once the information is clear, continue with your tray and WhatsApp order.
Ingredients can change.
Suppliers, recipes, sauces, garnishes and product availability may change. For this reason, the most reliable allergen information is the information confirmed for the specific item at the time you order. Syake cannot guarantee that every item is completely free from traces of other ingredients where shared preparation areas are used.
